Tickets have gone on sale for a special evening commemorating 20 years since Brighton & Hove Albion left the Goldstone.

The Goldstone Days… 20 Years On! is taking place at the Theatre Royal in Brighton on Monday 20 February and Seagulls supporters have already started snapping up tickets after they went on sale earlier this week.

A host of former players and managers have said they will appear on stage at the event, including Alan Mullery, Peter Ward, Ian Mellor, Garry Nelson, Gordon Smith, John Byrne, Gary O’Reilly and Robbie Reinelt.

They will be joined by the likes of Brian Horton, Gary Williams, Andy Rollings, Graham Moseley, Eric Steele, Chris Ramsey, Gary Chivers, Kerry Mayo, George Parris, and Paul Clark.

Other big names, including Mark Lawrenson and Liam Brady have said they will attend if their work commitments allow.

Landmark moments in the club’s history will be covered in the two-hour theatre spectacular, featuring action clips and interviews with Albion names from down the years, either live on stage or on film. There will also be a series of comedy sketches based around the club’s various achievements.

The Goldstone Days… 20 Years On! is being organised by former Albion defender Guy Butters and football commentator and Seagulls fan Peter Brackley and proceeds from the ticket sales will go to the club’s official charity, Albion in the Community, and help fund disability football sessions across Sussex.

The show will be produced and performed along similar lines to a hugely successful recent event in Southampton, where 2,000 Saints fans packed out the Mayflower Theatre to celebrate the club’s 40th anniversary of their FA Cup win.

Three of those involved in the Southampton show, Peter Brackley, radio and TV presenter Garry Richardson and TV mimic and show producer Mike Osman will team up again for the Brighton one.

Tickets for this one-off occasion are on sale now, with prices starting at £25. To book, visit: http://www.atgtickets.com/shows/the-goldstone-years-20-years-on/theatre-royal-brighton/ or call 0844 871 7650.
