New Brighton & Hove Albion Soccer School launched in Hove

Brighton & Hove Albion Soccer Schools are back for the Easter holidays with a new venue in Hove added to meet the growing demand for the popular sessions.

With more than 700 children aged between five and 13 expected to take part in the sessions across Sussex over the school break, Albion in the Community is looking forward to welcoming everyone back to outdoor organised football.

To meet the increased demand for the Easter holidays Albion in the Community have added a new venue in Hove at Cardinal Newman Catholic School.

The government’s announcement of a roadmap out of lockdown means that Albion in the Community are able to restart the soccer schools between 6-16 April and there are sessions available in the following locations:

To ensure all activities are delivered in a safe way to protect participants, coaches and the wider community from the spread of COVID-19, all sessions will have the following procedures in place:

  • Follow FA guidelines on grassroots football and have a high coach-to-player ratio and extra protocols in place.
  • Coaches will carry out full Covid-19 risk assessments before each session.
  • Parents will be asked to complete self-declaration forms before their child attends.
  • Temperature checks at the start of each soccer school and sanitiser stations at the venues.
  • Equipment will be regularly cleaned throughout the day and everyone taking part will be expected to fully adhere to government guidance on preventing the spread of Covid-19.
