Our health team is committed to supporting adults to make lifestyle changes to feel good and live well.

Food to Move

Our Premier League Charitable Fund supported nutrition programme delivers workshops, assemblies and specialist talks within the local community.

In the past three years, Food to Move has reached over 1,700 participants with activities including;

  • Healthy eating workshops and assemblies in schools.
  • Nutrition and healthy eating activities in community events.
  • Nutrition advice for young footballers and their parents.
  • Healthy cooking sessions in schools and communities.

Our Food to Move programme is led by a registered Public Health Nutritionist.

Neighbourhood Health Squad

Albion in the Community’s Neighbourhood Health Squad exists to provide help to people struggling with the motivation or time to improve their health.

The team works with people on a one to one basis or in a group of up to six people that can be a family, group of friends, workmates, sports team or housemates. The team helps to set achievable goals and provide the support to meet those goals.

Up to eight free sessions are available covering one or more of the following topics:

  • Getting more active.
  • Nutrition including special diets, healthy snacks, meal planning, cooking on a budget, and reducing food waste.
  • Managing your weight.
  • Stopping smoking.
  • Lowering your risk of and helping to control, long term health conditions.
  • Supporting your wellbeing.
