Adult health

There are a wide range of projects run by our health team which are aimed at helping adults improve their health and general wellbeing.

Shape Up at the Stadium

Our popular Shape Up at the Stadium course gives Brighton & Hove Albion fans the chance to improve their fitness, lose weight and learn about healthy eating and portion control – all at the American Express Community Stadium.

Shape Up is a free, 10-week course open to men aged over 18 and with a BMI over 25. Weekly sessions take place at the Albion’s home ground and involve 45 minutes of circuit training and 45 minutes of nutrition advice.

Run in partnership with the Brighton & Hove Food Partnership, Shape Up at the Stadium helps dozens of fans each season to lose weight and improve their general physical wellbeing.

Pre-diabetes prevention programme

We run a free, three-hour programme for people who have been diagnosed with pre-diabetes or who have been identified as being at risk of developing Type 2 diabetes. The course focuses on helping people reduce that risk and identifies small, manageable changes individuals can make to their diet, activity levels and other lifestyle factors.

Courses run across Mid Sussex in partnership with Mid Sussex District Council.
