Albion in the Community (AITC) is once again running a European cycle challenge and this year’s destination is the beautiful German city of Cologne.

The trip departs the American Express Community Stadium on Thursday 7 June, with cyclists returning to the UK on Sunday 10 June.

Registration is now open and the cost is just £299 per person.

Includes:

  • Full ride support with mechanic, route guides, route marking and GPX files.
  • Meals (excluding lunch on day one and dinner on day four).
  • Return flight from Cologne to London.
  • Water stops – two per day with drinks and refreshments.
  • Cycle jersey.
  • Invitation to training rides – a great way to get to know the other riders ahead of the event.
  • Fundraising support.
  • Accommodation for three nights (based on sharing twin rooms).
  • Transfer between destinations.

The cyclists will meet at the American Express Community Stadium at around midday on the Thursday, before departing by coach to catch the Eurostar to Brussels.

The cycling takes place over two days (Friday and Saturday) with an overnight stop in Aachen on Friday night. On Sunday, having arrived in Cologne the day before, riders will have the morning to spend enjoying the 2,000 year-old city before meeting for transfers back to the UK.

Money raised from the event will help fund AITC’s award-winning football sessions for people with a disability and the charity’s other projects throughout Sussex.
